I was just there with my daughter-in-law to have her cat put to sleep. He was 15 years old and suffering horribly. This was a very difficult decision to make and was hoping for some understanding, some compassion. The vet said he would be very compassionate. My ass.... no compassion was in that place. They gave Tigger a sedative right in front of Christina. We left seeing this cat struggle to breathe, gagging, throwing up bile. What an lasting vision for her to remember.
